Sometimes the planning and looking forward is the best part, but interesting things happen unexpectedly. Don't be too discouraged. If you were home you'd also run into these types of roadblocks. Once when in Mexico I remember a bus ride from Mazatlan to Guadalajara with a group of students in Mexico. We took an all nite bus ride. In the morning I discovered someone had stolen my wallet and passport! I had it secured, I thought, in one of thoses waist pouches. I never felt a thing.... Bummer...We continued of course and friends loaned me money till we got back to base camp. But I did meet an American Ex Pat who upon hearing my story gave me a $20 bill! Not much today but 20 years ago it was very helpful... Good to get laundry done.
